The Carriage House

The Carriage House provides holiday accommodation for 2-4 guests in Kerikeri, Bay of Islands. You have the privacy of your own 2 bedroom cottage apartment with kitchen yet the owners home is on the farm for advice and assistance to make each day interesting.

Enjoy boutique accommodation in historic Kerikeri overlooking the waterfront of Kerikeri Inlet, Bay of Islands only 5 mins from the first settlement Mission Houses, shops, restaurants. Nearby golf, sailing, fishing, surfing and beaches.

You have sole use of the Cottage Apartment Self-Catering or Bed and Breakfast at your choice. There are two Kingsize ensuite Bedrooms, a large living/dining room, fully equipped modern kitchen, office, laundry. One bedroom can convert to 2 large singles if you email your request.

There is a rate for 2 guests and a rate for 4 guests. Weekly Rate gives 7 nights for the price of 6.

Your Cottage is on a horsebreeding farm in a quiet location with offstreet parking. Kerikeri is 3 hours drive North of Auckland, or 40 mins flight.Rental cars available at Kerikeri airport. See map for exact location 10 mins from airport.

At the end of the garden you can walk to our private Jetty on the river. Moored yachts have nice reflections. If you bring your boat or kayak you can keep it on the jetty overnight and explore the bays.

Grey Shire Horses that formerly worked for the LION BREWERY are grazing and working on this 25 acre property.THE CARRIAGE HOUSE houses a collection of Vintage Horsedrawn Vehicles which are in daily use. Shire Horses are an endangered species and we are the only breeders of the rare Grey Shires in the southern hemisphere.

Pahia, Waitangi and Russell are popular places to visit with good BOAT TRIPS available. Three GOLF courses are Kauri Cliffs, Waitangi and Kerikeri all close.
