Thorntree offers luxurious bed & breakfast accommodation in a tranquil country setting and our full self-catering units provide private accommodation for the single person / businessman / families up to six people. We offer secure parking and there is plenty of space for trailer parking if needed.

Thorntree is situated in Northern Johannesburg in the agricultural suburb of Chartwell, Fourwyas, just off Cedar Road, 3 minutes away from Broadacres shopping centre. Broadacres Shopping centre hosts a Barnyard theatre and a variety of restaurants and fast food outlets. We are only 15 minutes from Lanseria airport.

The guest suite consists of a large tiled room, with separate entrance. It hosts a desk, easy chair, TV, queen size bed, dressing area and en suite bathroom, bath with shower. A kettle, tea, coffee, milk and sugar provided in the suite.

The garden suite consists of a large double bedroom with queen size bed, en suite bath with shower. Sliding doors from the bedroom open onto your own private walled garden. The large tiled open plan lounge has a three piece lounge suite, TV, dining area sitting four, a kitchen fully equipped with gas stove, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. A French door opens onto the covered patio where one can sit, relax and watch the prolific bird life

The upstairs family suite consists of a spacious carpeted open plan lounge with three piece lounge suite, TV, dining area sitting six, and kitchenette, fully equipped with fridge, microwave, electric frying pan, kettle and toaster. There are two bedrooms off the lounge area, both en suite. One room has three single beds, whilst the other has two single beds. There is also a 3/4 bed size sleeper couch in the lounge are which can be utilised if need be.
This is a two bed roomed family suite, catering easily for six people, all under thatch. The unit has its own separate entrance from the balcony area through a French door. From the balcony one can sit and watch the magic of a South African sunset.

The bungalow is a three bed roomed self contained unit: it consists of a large fully fitted kitchen with fridge, microwave, electric stove and dining area for six. The lounge has a three piece lounge suite and TV. There are three bedrooms, one large room and the two slightly smaller rooms with an adjoining door. The bedrooms have two single beds in each. (can be pushed together to make king size bed).
There is a separate bathroom with full sized bath and separate shower. There is a large wooden deck off the kitchen overlooking the well treed private garden area, where you can sit and enjoy the prolific bird life. There is an outside braai area. A 3/4 sleeper couch can be put into the larger bedroom for children if necessary.
