Timaru is a coastal city with great walking and biking tracks. Lovely swimming beach, Caroline Bay Rose garden, boardwalk,bird avery. Great restaurants, shopping, museum, art gallery, and is only an hour away from ski fields, and boating lakes. We are also a short drive to many country towns, fishing rivers and golf courses. 2 hours drive south of Christchurch and Mt Cook, also 2 1/2 hours from Christchurch
