Lomas Creek
 
Lomas Creek is situated on the Steenkampsberg pass, (270 km from JHB ) and is linked to the highest peak in the province – De Berg at 2331, with magnificent views overlooking the Klipriver valley. Due to the altitude and good climate it is ideal for trout fishing. The guest house is registered with De Berg Conservancy and AGRED (African game bird research & development). It is abundant in wild and bird life (Duiker, Porcupine, Crowned Crane, and Game bird population). The area is also known for its Boer War history.

This 10 sleeper guest house has the following amenities

· 4 bedrooms (2 rooms with shower en-suite) the other 2 rooms share a large communal bathroom
· DSTV
· Communal Bar area with its own separate fridge/freezer
· A private tavern for exclusive use of the guests
· Dining room and breakfast nook seats 11
· Fully equipped kitchen including gas cooker/oven microwave, fridge/freezer
· Outside braai with eating facilities / Boma for bon fires.
· The guest house is serviced until 10h00 – additional service to be negotiated with the staff directly
· Excellent rainbow trout dam.
· Fishing is Catch and Release (barbless hooks) – Fly Rods Only
· Easy and more challenging nature walks (original mountain pass into the Steenkampsberg)
· Mountain bike trails (no quad bikes)
· Clay pigeon shooting on request
· Catering is available by prior arrangement
· Ample grass area for the youngsters
· Very private and peaceful.
