Casa do Raspador

Casa do Raspador is a recently built rustic cottage in the traditional old Alentejo style situated in its own grounds of 7 acres. Garvao, the local village is a farming community within walking distance and has a few bars and cafes, a mini market, pharmacy, bull ring and football pitch, plus a beautiful French Victorian Railway station linking to Faro and Lisbon. Historic Ourique, 10 mins drive away, has many bars and restaurants, banks, shops, and a brand new supermarket. Go to the top of the main street and visit the site of the old castle and drink in the stunning views. Beja is a 35 minute drive with Moorish Castle and Evora boasts Roman ruins. Both are World Heritage sites, places of Historic importance.
