Situated in the heart of the Garden Route, this safe and exclusive protea and fynbos farm offers you real peace and tranquility like you've never experienced before. End of the road, very safe and secure, halfway between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay, 9 kms off the N2, 20 mins drive to both – close enough to enjoy the local activities. The unobstructed views of the Langkloof and Bitou Valley are exquisite and the hospitality second to none. Relax on the pool deck (splash pool, solar heated), enjoying the views. Indulge in a large farm breakfast (cold and cooked, sometimes buffet style). Our dinners made-with-care can be booked 24 hours in advance (3/4 course). It is served in the unique Fynbosskerm – an enclosed tiled area with our dining/breakfast room (separate tables). It also has a lounge with fireplace and DSTV (most popular sport and entertainment channels, SABC and ETV). There is a large bbq space with roll-out awning, screened off on three sides (one side with glass). Two separate private bbq spaces are also available. The two kitchens are very well equipped with electric stove with oven, two plate stove with oven, gas cookers (6 plates), microwave, kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher, 4 basins and all crockery and cutlery. These facilities are available to guests after breakfast was served, the whole day. Guests who do not have a fridge in their room, will have one in the Fynbosskerm. Honesty fridge with various soft drinks and juice, cider, beer, white and red wine.
Activities on the property are mountain biking tracks (15kms+), hiking (also down to the Bitou river), birding and some short routes to drive with 2x4 and 4x4 vehicles. Quad biking and forest horse riding (at neighbours ± 5kms away).
Our 5 en-suite guestrooms are individually decorated to a local theme e.g. Ostrich or Elephant (situated 10 metres from the Fynbosskerm. ). All bathrooms have showers, extra communal bathroom with Victorian bath available. All rooms have coffee/tea facilities, amenities, some have bar fridges and the Ostrich honeymoon has extra long double bed and double shower.
Forest studio s/c unit for two at the same location. Queen canopy brass bed, en-suite, fully equipped kitchen, private patio and private, paved bbq area.

The Bitou Valley House (Victorian, private Jacuzzi with views, sleeps 6). 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, completely private, fully furnished and equipped. Deck with bbq (breathtaking views). Various paintings and antiques add to the old world charm. Garage parking and two shade net parkings, fenced (pet friendly by prior arrangement).
The Cape Dutch Protea Cottage sleeps 4 and has two bedrooms and one bathroom. Quaint with some antiques and collectables. Covered patio with views, private garden with built-in bbq.
Both options have DSTV (most popular sport and entertainment channels, SABC and ETV) and a fireplace.
The roads are suited to normal sedan motors, can get muddy in a few places when it rains. Not suited to very low profile/suspension cars like Mini Cooper or modified BMW’s for instance.
