You will receive a very warm and friendly welcome from Heather and Keith. We are in our fourth year at the Carlee but we are experienced hoteliers, having previously run hotels in Newquay and Weymouth. All our 11 bedrooms are en-suite, with 2 double rooms on the ground floor. We have a guaranteed car park space for every bedroom, with secure parking at the rear of the hotel. The quality of the Carlee is recognised with our Quality Plus award. The Carlee is located just south of the town centre on Park Road, which is on the way into Blackpool from the M55. Blackpool Tower, Central Promenade, Winter Gardens, Grand Theatre and the shops, markets, and restaurants are only a 10-15 minute walk. There is a bus stop outside the hotel if you would prefer a ride into town. If you are visiting Blackpool for the illuminations it is only a short walk to catch a tram to wonder at the magic of the Golden Mile and the 5 miles of the lights. You can also ride the trams to Cleveleys and Fleetwood market. If it’s thrills you want you must visit the world famous pleasure beach ,Why not see the sharks and many more species of fish take a trip to the sea life centre. We have 4 family rooms, 6 doubles (including the two on the ground floor) and 1 single room. All have central heating, double glazing, colour TV and complimentary tea/coffee. Our bedrooms are all a good size, with well appointed en suites. Non-smoking bedrooms are available. We welcome families with children of all ages, couples and senior citizens. We accept bookings from mixed groups by advance registration only. We will also accept 1 night bookings. Our full English breakfasts are served in our spacious dining room. There are lots of things things to do in Blackpool right throughout the year.Blackpool Pleasure Beach is Britain's top free tourist attraction welcoming 6.5 million visitors per year. The Pleasure Beach is much more than just a fun fair, it also hosts the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Arena - where you can learn to Ice Skate. The Arena also hosts the Hot Ice Show. Blackpool Pleasure Beach is famous for its White Knuckle Roller Coaster rides, as well as family entertainment suitable for young children. Blackpool's Sandcastle Complex has a leisure pool maintained at around 84 degrees with flumes and waves, as well as amusements, cafes and bars. Blackpool South is home to Blackpool Football Club, and Blackpool Airport.Blackpool South Pier has a theatre, amusement arcades, bars and shops.From Blackpool South you can take a trip on Blackpool's famous tramway to Fleetwood in the North and Starr Gate in the South.Blackpool has an excellent public transport system and comprehensive network of buses and trams operated by Blackpool Transport. A variety of travel passes are available which give unlimited use of buses and trams at very reasonable prices. There is lots to do in Blackpool's Central area. Probably the most famous land mark in Blackpool is The Tower. Standing at 518 feet, 9 inches high, weighing 2586 tons construction began on 29 September 1891. The Tower was first opened on 14 May 1894 with an entrance fee of 6d (2.5 pence).Blackpool Tower was another seaside feat of Victorian engineering and has always been known for its' quality entertainment. It has recently been restored to its' former glory.The Golden Mile is stocked full of amusement arcades, gift shops and plenty of places to get all the jokes and novelty goods you could want.Rub shoulders with the stars at Louis Tussaud's Waxworks - if you're feeling brave enough why not check out the Chamber of Horrors!!Experience the delights of the deep without even getting wet at Blackpool Sea Life Centre. Take a stroll through the spectacular crystal tunnel standing just yards away from a tropical six foot long shark.Blackpool also has a high reputation in the North West for its clubbing scene with a number of high quality night clubs and wine bars available. Combine this with a number of traditional pubs in the area, most offering free entertainment, and you are all set for a great night out whatever your taste.The shopping centre at Blackpool is mostly concentrated around the Central area and comprises of a number of high street brand named stores as well as novelty gift shops, markets and joke shops. Alternatively, take the tram to Fleetwood and visit the many markets that Fleetwood has to offer.
