This Spanish Guest house is a beautiful rustic townhouse, situated in the heart of the northern Spanish countryside, overlooking orange groves. The views from our sun terrace are breathtaking. The house is set in a small secluded village which gives you a taste of the real Spain. It is built in two parts, both dating back to the turn of the century, giving it a truly traditional style. Our courtyard is shaded by a large rubber tree growing beside a well. This outdoor living space is perfect for BBQ’s, relaxing and maybe a glass or two of wine? What more could you ask for?
For our customers, their holiday starts the minute they arrive in Spain. . On arrival at the house, there will be a welcome glass of wine or beer, served with tapas.
The house has five large guest bedrooms, all individually decorated in true Spanish style, including a family room (three beds) and also a tastefully decorated bedroom, for special occasions!
Our prices include full English or Continental breakfast. Can Joan is in Bitem, 10 minutes outside the town of Tortosa (Baix of Ebre).
The area is famous for its fishing, on the fast flowing river Ebro.
Many people come to the area for an extreme fishing experience, to try their hand at catching the infamous Wells Catfish and giant Carp.

Things To Do
Fishing on the River Ebro The best fishing time is mid February to June, but don’t forget Feb to early March and Sept to Dec although the weather can be changeable the fishing is still good. The catch rate for the Wells Cat Fish averages 2/3 fish per day so it would be reasonable to assume a catch of seven to eight fish in a five day session and you would be very unlucky not to catch a weight of over the magic ton. The fishing takes place between Tivenys and Amposta, taking in an area of river spanning 25k, in some areas its wide and even paced and other areas are full of bends with massive fluctuations in depth. Fish can be caught in three feet of water just as well as in 30. The predator fish will follow their food source, Roach, Carp, Mullet etc. The guides fish the river as often as possible, learning and locating fish and new swims and once located are only fished by paying guests. Ensuring the best possible opportunities for all customers. Unlike many other accomodations around the river Ebro, we offer that something a little more, we pride ourselves on our service, a warm and freindly atmosphere, home cooked food and a beautiful house to rest your weary bones.
